Practical Solutions for a Sustainable Future

BREEAM Advisory Professional (AP – Design & Site – UK & International) plays a crucial role in optimising performance, maximising value, and ensuring cost-effective implementation of BREEAM standards throughout a project's lifecycle. An in-depth understanding of sustainability and the BREEAM framework enables the BREEAM AP to effectively inform, guide, and support project teams in realising their environmental objectives, guiding projects through the BREEAM assessment process and offering expert advice on environmental sustainability and design.

•  Support Client and Project Teams: Assist in scheduling activities, setting priorities, and negotiating trade-offs to achieve targeted BREEAM ratings using the BREEAM framework.
•  Champion On-Site Sustainability: Advocate for environmental performance, minimise construction and operational impacts, and engage site workers and supply chains in sustainability initiatives.
•  Manage BREEAM Assessments: Oversee the assessment process efficiently, ensuring cost-effective attainment of BREEAM ratings and evidence collection for assessment.
Whether it is a university, town hall, or leisure centre, we can assess the environmental factors critical to supporting the client’s sustainability goals.

Key Components

On-Site Sustainability

Identify sustainable practices applicable to the construction environment and effectively engage site workers, subcontractors, and the supply chain in sustainability initiatives. Optimising resource use and reducing waste, leading to potential cost reductions.

Addressing the Performance Gap

Address factors that could contribute to discrepancies between design intent and as-built performance.

Infrared Thermography and Airtightness

Using infrared thermography to ensure airtightness and energy efficiency in buildings.

BREEAM Certification Process

Their appointment contributes credits in the Management category of BREEAM assessments, with additional credits attainable through proactive monitoring and mitigation of site impacts. Collect relevant evidence for BREEAM assessment.

Evidence Collection

Collect relevant evidence and appropriate documentation to support the BREEAM assessor’s evaluation.
