Creating a safe, dynamic culture

Safety

Safety is at the core of everything we do and a key guiding principle behind our success. We foster a culture of care, where everyone shares the goal of zero incidents—this commitment has led to zero accidents on our sites in the last 30 years.

Health & Safety

Stamfords takes health and safety seriously and we ensure that our staff perform their duties to prevent any risks and plan in advance each project we do to ensure that we have a safe environment for our staff and customers.
Every staff member at Stamfords have quarterly refresher programmes to ensure their qualifications and training is maintained to the current legislations and regulations. Stamfords staff on site work receive safety induction training which includes details of the specific site and no work is permitted until inductions have been completed. Items discussed include hazard identification, danger areas, preventive and protective measures, evacuation procedures, emergency plan, site safety rules and first aid provision.
All of our sites have safety audits, including fortnightly inspections and daily self-assessments undertaken by our site manager.

We see with a 360-degree approach

Our proven method combines an emergency preparedness plan, protections for the public, trade partner training and safety, and jobsite cleanliness. These components are the building blocks of our strong safety culture.

We lead the way

Thinking about safety through a different lens starts at the top: our senior leaders invest time and resources in the most advanced technologies and equipment, but they also empower each employee to feel responsible for creating our safety culture.

We watch out for each other

We want every employee and trade partner to feel that they are part of a common good and cohesive team. We help our teams form stronger relationships with trade partners by emphasizing people and teamwork over processes and checklists.
