Successful Completion: Sheen Mount School KS1 WC Refurbishment Project

Stamford Contracts Ltd is pleased to announce the successful delivery of the Sheen Mount School KS1 WC Refurbishment Project. This project, commissioned by the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, involved a comprehensive refurbishment of the boys’ and girls’ washrooms at Sheen Mount Primary School in London.
Our scope of works included mechanical, plumbing, and electrical installations, fire alarm upgrades, and the installation of bespoke vinyl flooring and modern cubicles, all complemented by a vibrant decorative finish.

Overcoming Challenges in a Live School Setting

Working within an operational school environment posed unique challenges, which we navigated with meticulous planning and execution:

  • Fire escape routes were maintained at all times for safety compliance.
  • Temporary fencing ensured secure site access while keeping students and staff safe.
  • Noise levels were managed to minimise disruption during school hours.
  • Strict daily cleaning protocols upheld cleanliness and order throughout the project.
A VR presentation was prepared for the client, allowing them to explore the space before refurbishment. This immersive experience enabled the client to select materials with ease and provided a clearer understanding of the final build.
The project was delivered within its eight-week timeframe, reflecting our efficiency and dedication. The client expressed their satisfaction with the work, which led to the commissioning of additional refurbishment works in the reception area toilets—a testament to the quality and reliability of our services.
This achievement underscores Stamford Contracts Ltd’s commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions in even the most sensitive environments.
